Most popular fashion designers added the bangles to their RTW Spring 2010 collection.
A bracelet is an article of jewelry which is worn around the wrist. Bracelets can be manufactured from leather, cloth, hemp, plastic or metal, and sometimes contain rocks, wood, and/or shells. Bracelets are also used for medical and identification purposes, such as allergy bracelets and hospital patient-identification tags.
Bracelets that are in solid form, usually some metal, are referred to as bangles or bangle bracelets. They can be smooth, textured or set with stones. In India, glass bangles are common. Made from ordinary glass that is about 1/4 - 1/8 inch in width, they are worn in groups so that arm movement causes them to make a pleasant sound rather like the clinking of wind chimes.
Functional bangle This is a new use for a very old thing. A spring closing type of bangle is used as both an adornment and a handy clip to hang things from. Marketed as a handbag hanger.
Beauty in spring 2010 is going to be about combining a very healthy, natural glow with little shockingly unnatural elements. The skin is healthy, radiant and for the most part basic.
Then, out of seemingly no where brightly colored eyelids in pinks, yellows and blues pop! To achieve the look, clean and moisturize the face.
Apply a radiant, mineral-based face powder. Add a touch of nude, natural shine gloss. Finally, add a touch of pink, yellow or blue on the top or bottom eyelid. Don't add too much! The color should almost blend in with the natural look not destroy it.
Dramatic cat eye trends continued. For this look, clean and moisturize skin. Apply a thin, matte powder. Use a natural, matte lipstick on the lips as well. Then, turn the volume way up with heavy, black eyeliner. Try this many times at home before trying to wear it on the streets. How dramatic the eyeliner can be depends on how dramatic the woman wants. Some women go a half inch or even an inch beyond the crease of their eyebrows.
Everyone has also been talking about eyebrows for spring. The funny thing is that it seems like the fashion gods have not made up their minds. Two trends have emerged. First, the beauty trend of shaved or bleached eyebrows have become stylish.
Second, overly dramatic eyebrows have also graced runways. Some models were even sporting shaved eyebrows that were then drawn in. One thing is for sure, eyebrows are going to be playing more major roles in beauty over the next year.
A lot of women have amazing grey eyes and many of tem don't know how to make perfect make up. But it's not difficult! You can choosing the right makeup
for them!
But of course there are some important details you might not know about.

When selecting the pallete for your shadows take into account your skin color type and think of the effect you want to achieve.
So, if you are a warm type and you wish to accentuate your eyes your choice should be limited to golden, bronze, and sand colors

One of my favorite (and DD's) lip gloss is the Cover Girl Wet Slicks Amazemints- between the two of us, we have almost ever color so I thought I'd do a quick review of the colors in the house.
I've started watching Secret Life of an American Teenager. I was reading about it on someone's Facebook and was like hmm..maybe i'll see if I can find it online and see if I like it. I mean, I see the commercials for it ALL the time but just never really wanted to watch it because I thought it was going to be too teeny bopper.
but I LOVE IT
Plus there are like 20 something episodes in the first season. It will keep me busy. I think the 2nd season just started airing.
It's amazing to me how real it is. Like the things they talk about and do is totally how it is in high school. It's kind of like a younger One Tree Hill.
The girl who plays Amy, the pregnant chick, is totally cute. I love her voice...I'm mesmerized by it. Now I sound like a lesbian.
It's cold as shit out. I didn't get a snow (ice) day but I did get to come into work at 10:30 instead of 8:15. The extra sleep was awesome and I loved being able to take my time leaving the house. Maybe I wouldn't mind working so much if everyday could be like this.
- Pedro Almodovar
- Ringo Starr
I'll definitely be in the same room with them (2 different events, each with limited audiences). Actually meeting them is an unknown.
Loathe:
- The local house cleaning service hasn't returned my call... yet.
- Left knee is extremely painful today (result of last night's burlesque class)
- Lost my jacket at burlesque class. Still don't understand how it could be gone - there were only 7 people there and the jacket was huge on me (I bought a 4x) so none of those skinny peeps would have any use for it. I put it on a chair, then the chair was used for class - so whoever moved the chair knows where they put my jacket so it should be there.
- Update: It was found. Yay!
- Someone knocked on my door before 10am (I was still sleeping, or trying to, though I wouldn't have answered even if I was up and about)
- It was my postal carrier. Apparently my order of discounted Yankee candles requires a signature. Why? I don't know. But now I have to haul by butt to the post office. Thanks to my handicap placard, I'll actually be able to park!! (they have 5 or 6 regular spaces and they're always full)
- When diet books assume you've spent your life as a chronic dieter and address everything that way (I just started reading Choose to Lose)
- Also: That they don't work so well when you're getting off work, not actively reading the book, haven't eaten in 8 hours, Jack in the Box is right there, and a smoothie sounds really good (so did the Jumbo Jack Special. I threw out the hamburger, untouched, but still scarfed the tacos and fries. I'm going to hell.)
- Got assigned to a special project at work that is going to be a lot of work
- Also learned I've been roped into a weekly meeting at 10a on Mondays (I usually go in at 1pm and Mondays mornings are never good for me)
- Off-Site meeting next week: Starts at 8:30a (location TBD) and I don't give a rat's ass about the topic. And I think I have plans the evening prior, so getting up at 6 will double-triple-extra suck
- Heard it's going to be 1/2 day meeting and 1/2 day of laser tag. Quadruple suck. I couldn't play laser tag even if I wanted to, which I definitely do not... unless, as a coworker suggested, we get to bring real lasers (since we make them)... free lasik for everyone!!
- It's annual review & 2010 goal writing time. UGH!!
- Kitties sleeping late (Moshi was up at 8 to go out but apparently decided it was too cold and came back to bed)
- Last night's burlesque class started really bad (first words to us were "they have to buy a boa", which I instantly refused to do) but ended much better... even though I can't do shit because of my knees (the instructor was nice enough to let me "freestyle" on a chair instead of trying to do the routine on the floor). I'm pretty sure the "live performance" (5th class) no longer happens.... either way, Julie & I already plan to skip it.
- Watching people react when "the fat chick" kicks ass at something. People assume I'm going to be lazy/shy/boring/slow but I was ON when, at the end of the class, we "performed" the routine with others watching us. Those others were shocked (in a good way) by me. I credit S Factor... it was just like when we perform there... fake it till you make it!! (if you fuck up, just go with it and act like it was on purpose)
- My heated bed
- I scored a ticket to see Ringo Starr at the Grammy Museum... 200 person audience, Q&A followed by performance (his current band members are famous but I already forgot who they are), free CD, and probably autographs. There's a possibility I'll give up my ticket (same night as burlesque class) but I'm not deciding yet.
- If I leave the backdoor open for the kitties to have some play time while I'm doing stuff in the bedroom/backyard, Skritches is really good about coming back indoors on her own. (famous last words - she's outside now)
- When I went to look for Skritches, under the house, she was actually inside the house again. Good kitty!!
- Hot showers
- The Glass Castle. Really good book (I picked it up, used, at the Farmer's Market on Sunday)
- [2:15am Thursday update] (500) Days of Summer. Just watched it. Quirky & light & the funny parts were really funny.
