Good Deal!

So we have all our Christmas money- let’s go shopping! Are there great deals out there? I think so.

I did a little shopping lately, looking for some bargains. I went to J. Crew looking for some cashmere sweaters. It is always good to buy some classic items. This way you do not feel like you are totally impulse shopping. J. Crew did not have much inventory, but did have a good deal. All sale items received an extra 20% off the lowest price. So I was able to pick up a few nice sweaters. Then I found out that my friend’s daughter just went back to work there- and gets 70% off sale price- but I don’t want to thin k about it!

I also needed some newunderwear for my special occasion dress. I saw Victoria Secret’s carries a style without seams or tags. I thought I would give it a try. They had a ton of sales. Looked at some workout clothes, t -shirts, and sleeping pants. I started to get distracted, but got back on task. I don’t know if it was a good deal or not, but I purchased this style- 3 for $30- instead of $14 each. Not too bad. And they seem to work pretty well. I modeled the dress for my husband and gave his seal of approval. He is a tough critic!

Others have cashed in on these good deals too. Marianne and her sister Andrea went toThe Shoe Box yesterday. 50% off all! Marianne got a cute pair of UGG clogs and Andrea had a blast purchasing Jimmy Choo’s. I might have to check this one out.

Robin G. was going to Sak’s today. She is looking for a cocktail dress. I heard they are having some great sales. I do think if you hit the department stores, you will need to rummage through a lot of cr*p.

I better get on the sale bandwagon at Loose Lips New York. We are still giving 20% off thru 12/31/08 with code hol20. Good time to stock up! Barri needed her Tinted Moisturizer and Robin needed the Mid Size Eye Shadow in Delight.

Also- on an aside, I went to Wal-Mart. I am not usually a Wal-Mart shopper. My friend Michele told me about an easy peanut butter cookie recipe, that requires chocolate that they sell at Wal-Mart. While running in to purchase the chocolate, I saw soda for 88 cents. Wow! Great price. Then I looked around and saw all the good deals on food and toiletries. I think I will need to go back there too!
